Dear All, This email was just today received from the team leading the NHS England antibiotic procurement project (go here for a prior newsletter describing the project):
Dear Stakeholders,
In November 2019, we held a stakeholder webinar to share our response to the comments raised in targeted engagement and to outline proposals for the procurement process. Since then, the project team has been working on the detailed documentation for the procurement and will shortly have drafts available for market and stakeholder engagement.
We will hold further webinars on Wednesday 25 March to discuss the draft procurement documents and to set out the timetable for the engagement and procurement.
The first webinar will be held 10:00 – 12:00 and is intended for companies interested in participating in the procurement as potential suppliers.
The second webinar will be held 13:00 – 15:00 and is intended for stakeholders with an interest in the project who are not planning on participating in the procurement as potential suppliers.
Whilst the content of the webinars will be the same, we have scheduled separate supplier and stakeholder webinars to accommodate the different points of interest.
We ask you to please hold the date and relevant time and we will be in touch nearer the time with further information.
It’s exciting to see steady progress by NHS England on this important project! I will post a follow-up note when the details on how to attend the webinars are made public.

- [REGISTRATION OPENS SOON] 17-25 Oct 2020 (Annecy, France): Interdisciplinary Course on Antibiotics and Resistance (ICARe). This is a soup-to-nuts residential course on antibiotics, antibiotic resistance, and antibiotic R&D. The course is very intense, very detailed, and gets rave reviews. The date is set for 2020 and the program will ultimately appear here. Registration is limited to 40 students and opens 15 Mar 2020.
